Deep Fried Tom

Looking back on Thanksgiving 2011 our deep fried turkey experiment was a success. We brined that bad boy in coke, salt and brown sugar and then injected it with more coke. Sounds wired but that bird was rich with flavor.

There is nothing like bringing back good childhood memories with a smell. Way back my family would visit this El Torito for brunch. I have very faint memories of the place however when we walked in the smell of the food brought it all back for me.
